Farewell, my amazing readers!  This is the last blog post for Breakthrough Beauty.  It’s been a blast and I’ve enjoyed interacting with you all.  Each of you are incredible, talented, gifted, unique, special, beautiful, and necessary  – and you were BORN THAT WAY!!!!  \o/  It’s been my honor and privilege to share this piece of cyber-space with you, no matter how small or large our interaction may have been.

Diorskin: Shimmer Powder, #002 Amber Diamond

If you clicked soley because of the cat, it’s ok.  I did, too.  *High five for animals wearing people stuff.*

Today, we’re talking about one of my all-time favorite cosmetic items: HIGHLIGHTERS, also known as glow, illuminators, shimmer dust, etc.  I adore highlighting products.  Used correctly they can add such je ne sais quoi!

.

I’ve been using Diorskin Shimmer Powder for the last several weeks in the #002 shade called Amber Diamond.

Here’s the little girl sitting on my planner. She shines!

There are four color strips: a cream; champagne; rosy brown; and a warm camel/peach.

.

Each of the four colors have the same level of shimmer, which is, by the way, very fine.  No glitter to be found here.

.

Finger Swatchies!

.

Highlighters are always a bit mystical to swatch (wink) and as expected, you’ve just got to see it in person to fully appreciate the subtle nuances and fine details.  These swatches are decidedly HEAVY for your viewing pleasures.  In real-life application, however, they apply as a very subtle gleam.  Beautiful.

The two shades on the left (the lightest) are perfect for the bridge of your nose, inner eyes, under brow bones and tops of cheekbones.  The two shades on the right, are (depending on your skin tone) lovely for shimmering blush, contouring and bronzing.

.
