Happy mid-week, people! Today, we’re talking about skin. DRY skin.
I have normal to dry skin, which means that I always amp up my skincare routine during cold winter months — HANDS AND BODY, too!!! Thanks to BzzAgent.com, I got to test Neutrogena®, Norwegian Formula® Hand Cream. I use and enjoy other Neutrogena products, so I had no hesitation in taking this little honey for a test spin.

The product comes in two fragrance options: Original and Fragrance-Free. Both are quite agreeable to me; I can’t discern a scent in either of them.

The squeeze bottle is very hygenic, fast and easy. The lid screws on for a secure closure = safe to tuck in your purse with no worries of spills!

As you can see in the photo above, the product is a translucent white-ish cream. The texture is silky smooth with medium thickness. It glides on easily and soaks in right away, leaving no oily, greasy or slippery residue. The best part, though? IT WORKS!
.
I go through so many lotions and potions each year, many of which, leave my skin dry, tight and itchy hours later. Not this one. It helps keep nails and cuticles smooth and healthy, too! This will definitely stay in my regular routine, in my purse and next to my sink for every hand-washing session!

Review: Covergirl and Olay, Tone Rehab 2-in-1 Foundation + Pressed Powder

Covergirl & Olay Tone Rehab Foundation is a medium coverage product with a nice, bright luminous (not glowy or sparkly) finish. The product pumps easily out of the container, spreads nicely and has the consistency and texture of a smooth, whipped mousse. The overall presentation of the product is attractive.

The pressed powder is super nice. It gives a clean, matte finish, although there are the tiniest light-reflecting particles (micro-sparkles) that insure that the finish is not flat or dull. Very nice.

As you can see in the photo above, this shade (#155, Soft Honey) is too dark for my complexion. However, a month ago it was perfect with my little, summer tan. I smoothed the product out onto the left side of my hand and even in the photo, it clearly has a radiant, lovely finish.

Above is the matching shade of pressed powder, #350 Medium. You can just barely see some of the minute light-reflecting particles, which give a lovely soft-focus finish.

In the above photo, I’ve applied the foundation to the top of my entire hand, but have only used pressed powder (on top of the foundation) on the RIGHT side. Notice how the left is luminous, while the left is clearly matte. Click on the photo to enlarge it, for a better view!

The only thing I don’t like about these products are some of the unhealthy ingredients, including parabens. Otherwise I would have given this review a 5-star rating.

Review: BIC Soleil Savvy

Several years ago, I purchased a pack of BIC disposable razors. I was horrified to discover that the crappy razors left my skin nicked and poorly shaven. The incident soured me on the BIC brand, so when BzzAgent.com invited me to try out the new BIC Soleil Savvy disposable razors, I was naturally hesitant. Faded memories of a caveman shave instantly arose. Nonetheless, I decided to give it a less-than-enthusiastic go.
After receiving my BzzKit and using the razor for the past several weeks, I’m pleased to report that these new razors are nothing like the old nightmare-on-shave-street tools. I’ve yet to get nicked even once, plus the shave is completely smooth, super close and moisturizing to boot! The razor features 3 flexible blades, a pivoting head and an easy-grip handle. The ritual of shaving is mostly a pain-in-the-rear, but with BIC’s new Soleil Savvy disposables, I can get ‘er done with ease and quality for much less than other brands.
I’m happy to say that I can easily and gladly recommend BIC Soleil Savvy’s new disposable razors! Woo-hoo for improved quality!!!!! Thank you, BIC, and thank you, BzzAgent!!

Review: John Frieda, Frizz-Ease for Fine to Medium Hair

For the past month, I’ve been using John Frieda’s Frizz-Ease, thanks to BzzAgent.com. (BzzAgent is a company that sends out free full size products in return for honest feedback. You simply fill out some lifestyle surveys so they can match you up to appropriate, new products. Check them out!)
According to John Frieda’s website,

My Thoughts:
* I have long, straight hair and this product is perfect for my hair type.
* It works beautifully without weighing my hair down, which is a feat!
* It’s easy to apply and spreads evenly and quickly throughout my tresses with no mess or goopy feeling.
* My locks are left smooth, glossy and light as a feather.
* There are 2 fluid oz. in the bottle, so it should last a good while. That’s more than a lot of other hair serum products.
* John Frieda makes other hair serums for different hair types and textures, but this one is definitely a god-send for fine hair!!! Excellent formulation.
