Zoya, Fall 2012: Gloss Collection, Swatches

Zoya has 3 new collections available for Fall 2012: Gloss, Diva and Designer. Today we’ll look at the 3 shades from the Gloss collection.
Katherine, Paloma and Frida are all “jellies,” meaning their formula is very sheer and the finish has a creamy, transparent jelly or jello-like appearance. I love jellies for their versatility. Wear them alone, in however many layers you desire, or pop them on top of another polish in your collection for an entirely new shade! They extend your collection indefinitely.

Pictured above, we have Katherine.
“Zoya nail polish in Katherine can be best described as: A sheer, dark, red-toned aubergine with a buildable jelly gloss finish. The jelly gloss formula can be worn alone or layered to create an endless variety of custom colors. Color originally created for fashion designer Peter Som.” Zoya Website
In all of today’s photos, I’ve layered the nails progressively. My index finger has one coat of polish, middle finger has two coats, ring finger has 3 coats and pinky finger has 4 coats. You can see how more layers equals a more opaque, jelly-cream-like finish.

Paloma is a lovely berry shade that really perks up my skin tone.
“Zoya nail polish in Paloma can be best described as: A sheer deep fuchsia-berry with a buildable jelly gloss finish.” Zoya Website

Above you can see darling Frida. She is probably the sheerest of the bunch; even with four coats, she is still transparent.

What say you, beauties?! Are you smitten or meh? Soon, I’ll be posting swatches of the other two collection, so be watchful!
Cheers, honeys!
