BzzAgent: Covergirl, Blastflipsticks: Minx, Vixen, Stunner

Recently, I was alerted by BzzAgent that Covergirl was looking for people to test out their new Blastflipsticks – dual-ended lipsticks with both a creamy and shimmer product in each container. With tons of shades available, I was very excited to give these babies a go.

Each blastflipstick has a darker, creamy shade which is more opaque (although it can be applied sheerly.)  The other end of the blastflipstick is a lighter, shimmery shade which again can be applied sheerly or layered for more oomph.  Some of the darker colors act as a stain to really give you lasting power, well after the glaze has worn off.

.

There’s a LOT of product in these tubes, so you won’t run out anytime soon.  They apply smoothly and are color-true.  If you love mixing and matching shades, textures and finishes, these are definitely for you!  Plus, with so many colors to choose from, there’s something for everyone here.  Well done, Covergirl.

Sample DUDS Piling Up? Tip O’ The Day

Do you have a mess of facial moisturizers and serums that just don’t do it for you?  Or perhaps the fragrance is too strong to use on your face?  Maybe the product is overly aggressive for your delicate facial area?  Don’t give up on these babies yet.

Instead of tossing the product, try using it on your hands or feet, instead.  Frequently, a product that aggravates the delicate facial skin (or nosebuds) may be just what other thirsty parts of your body need.  The skin of hands and feet are tougher and much less sensitive. And why not spread the anti-aging wealth around to other areas of your bod’?!

Review: Stila, Fiesta Set, Lip Glaze Trio

Stila’s Fiesta Set, Lip Glaze Trio is going dirt cheap on Sephora right now — 8 measley bucks.  Check them out — these are uber-gooberly amazing and here’s why:

Top to Bottom: Maraca, Pinata, Kitten.

Left: Kitten is a warm, bronze with lots of gold sparkle.  This is a very fine sparkle, not glitter and not gritty.  The color is not sheer, rather a very saturated product.  Hence, a little goes a long way and lasts for literally HOURS, even after eating and drinking. !!!

Middle: Pinata is a beautiful, glossy strawberry red with a moderate amount of gold sparkle (not as much sparkle as Kitten.)  Again, this is very pigmented and long-lasting!

Right: Maraca is the only lip glaze here with no sparkles.  She’s a lovely nude peach/pink . . . an excellent “my lips but better” product.  Highly pigmented, glossy with incredible long-wear.

These have a typical twist/click-pen bottom and a brush head applicator.  Easy to use, after the initial 20-30 twist clicks to get the product up.

I’m more than satisfied with these little honeys and I think $8.00 is a steal for the trio.  After receiving a Stila lip glaze in a previous Birchbox and enjoying the heck out of it, I decided to nab these at Sephora.  Same great formula, excellent staying power.  I’m just in deep like here people.
